  • Atalaya Golf & Country Club Old Course
WARNING !! If you want to play Atalaya Golf Courses be aware that they do not follow the booking rules provided by Golfhæ If you tell them when you book that you will use golfhæftet they only have a small number of tee times not available during preferable hours. If you do not tell them that you will use golfhæftet you will get good tee times but they will charge the cost to your credit card prior to your game. You are then not able to get the discount. And they do not tell you that they charge your credit card !!

  • Finca Cortesin Golf Club
    A Great Golf Course But.....
We played this gem on October 1, 2016. It may well be the best maintained golf course I have ever played. Typical of European parkland courses, the landing areas are very wide, the holes are relatively long, the greens are either elevated or far below you and the pins are tucked behind sand traps. The course is stunningly beautiful. Finca Cortesin is decidedly a second shot course, because of relatively long par 4s and short par 5s. The most challenging aspect of the course are the green complexes. The greens are generally huge, but the breaks can be subtle, and the speed (downhill and downgrain, which I seemed to get a lot of) is daunting. My only complaint was what I considered unreasonable pressure to play quickly. The par 3s and the 4th holes are cart path only and you cannot take the carts closer than ~75 yards from the green unless you are on the cart path. A long course with challenging greens simply does not play in 4:15. We finished in 4:40 and I thought we did well. Yet the GPS system constantly reminded us in red that we were behind "the pace", and a staff member requested we quicken our pace once and followed us for several holes, despite the fact that we never even saw the foursome behind us (or the one ahead). Otherwise, the staff was polite, accommodating and thoroughly professional. We had a wonderful lunch on the deck overlooking the course. This is a great golf course and a great golfing experience.
