    Winter Golf

Played here this month, and was very surprised on how the course was holding up with all the rain that had been put down when many courses in the area where closed due to the water. The professional was very helpful with a very well equipped shop. After a very wet round of golf, we had a very good bar snack from the welcoming staff within the club house. I am not going to write about the course because the rain won’t do it any favours, but I will say the greens where excellent under the conditions, and held up extremely well. We will be back in the drier months to test this excellent track out. Thank you Wilpshire Golf Club

Really enjoyed playing this course and the scenery was outstanding - great variance on the holes and some tricky little par three - will definately play here again(Round played: Aug 2016 - Score: 83 Handicap: 14.1)

I've played Wilpshire on two occassions now, once in poor weather, once in good weather.I have to be honest and say it isn't one of my favourite courses and certainly isn't one I'd rush back to play. But why, I'm not really sure as I can't quite put my finger on it.Sometimes you don't play a course well and it clouds your judgement, but I scored well both times I played it so it can't be that. I think, if I'm honest, it's the "ok" factor that has got in my mindset. The greens were ok, but I've played on better. The course layout is ok, but again nothing special. There are no holes that really stick in the mind as being super signature holes, but there are none on the other hand that are particularly poor - they are just ok.Finding your way to the Clubhouse bar as a visitor is not the easiest thing to do. The staff were helpful but not over friendly, but at the same time were not discourteous. Again, they were "ok".If you're invited to play it, by all means go along and check it out. But I have to say it's the only way I'd probably return to play, I doubt very much I'd pay to play it again in the future.
