Just outside of the town of the same name in the northwest of  Ireland within the county of  Sligo is the golf course at the Tubbercurry Golf Club. The club is nestled at the feet of the picturesque and breath-taking Ox Mountains and all that visit here are sure to appreciate the scenery as well as the local amenities, which are fair. This serene location is perfect for those golfers looking for a quiet and relaxing round of golf in one of the most unspoilt parts of Ireland.

The club was founded in 1991, making it somewhat modern by Irish standards. It has matured well over the years and all that play here are sure to enjoy and appreciate the fine quality of this quiet, yet interesting course.

Consisting of 9 holes that are of a parkland style, the course measures 2835 metres from the white tees with a par of 35. Features of the course are very traditional and combine to make this rather challenging. The signature hole here is regularly cited as the 8th which is a par three and is a real test of skill with its elevated tee box and tricky green below yet all are sure to enjoy the fantastic views that can be had from here.

Facilities at the club are reasonable and there is both a bar and dining area for players to enjoy after their rounds in which they are sure to receive a warm Irish welcome. There is also a modest practice area and putting green upon which players can hone and refine their skills and a number of items can be hired from here which should further help to facilitate play.

Green fee rates for visitors to this course are very reasonable making this a great value golfing facility for golfers of all standards. Tee times for visitors to this course have fair availability also and visitors are warmly welcomed here so long as times are arranged in advance.

Access to the club from much of the northwest of Ireland as well as  Northern Ireland is good by road and the nearby city of Sligo offers good onward transport links to much of the rest of the country as well as further afield. The club has a number of well-established links with local accommodation providers which are sure to suit the needs, tastes and budgets of most visitors.
