Situated on the south east coast of  Ireland in the county of  Wexford is the golf course at the Tara Glen Golf and Country Club facility. This private complex is owned by members and is the ultimate retreat that will ensure fun for all the family in one of the sunniest parts of Ireland. Set in a large estate the complex is home to tennis courts, a children’s play area, a number of holiday homes and of course a golf course that is fully affiliated with the  Golfing Union of Ireland

The resort opened in 1993 and is a popular destination for visitors from across Ireland as well as from the nearby  United Kingdom. The course here has matured well over the years and has been enjoyed countless times by visitors of all ages. The original course design was looked over by the legendary Irish favourite Christy O’Connor Snr.

Made up of 9 holes the course measures 2872 metres from the championship tees and has a par of 36 for men.  The use of alternate tee boxes allows an entertaining time to be had when playing either 9 or 18 holes here and features are extensive to further ensure the play here is diverse and challenging. Hazards are intelligently placed and the views that can be had from this course further add to the experience.

As the course is part of the resort facilities here are very good and there is a fully licensed clubhouse on site complete with bar. There is also the extra installations for a great array of other sports and activities meaning that all should enjoy it here.

Although the course is part of the resort and priority is given to the owners of the holiday homes here there is modest availability for visitors here with regards to visitors although tee times during summer months are very restricted. Green fees here are reasonable and reflect the exclusive nature of the resort.

Wexford itself is relatively easy to access from much of the east of Ireland, especially  Dublin, by road so transport links here are good. The obvious accommodation option here for visitors is one of the holiday homes that are on site however the majority of these are privately owned although some may be available to hire on selected dates.
