Located around 30 km to the north of the vibrant capital city of  Dublin is the golf course at the Skerries Golf Club in the east of  Ireland. The location is picturesque with many excellent views of nearby mountains to be had yet it is still well connected as it lies only a short distance away from the main Dublin to  Belfast route which connects Ireland with  Northern Ireland. The nearby town from which the club takes its name has fair amenities for all to enjoy making this a great destination for a golfing break.

The club was originally founded in 1905 and has since celebrated its centenary more recently in 2005. The history of both the club and course is rich and diverse and it is clear to all that visit here that both have matured well over the years.

Of a parkland style, this 18 hole course has a par of 73 and measures 6116 metres from the white tees. Features here are very traditional and there is an abundance of mature trees and other natural hazards to coax a variety of shots from players of all styles. The finishing hole is regularly cited as one of the best in Ireland and players here are sure to enjoy this magnificent championship standard course.

Facilities at the club are good and there is both a bar and restaurant for all to enjoy after their rounds offering a great selection of refreshments. There is also a modest pro shop offering a selection of merchandise, equipment and apparel for all. Practice facilities here are also good and include a spacious putting green, short game area and a number of practice nets.

Tee time availability for visitors to this course are generally good although members have a reserved time every day and weekend availability is even more restricted, although still fair. Green fee rates here are reasonable and reflect the standard of the course and facilities. The club also hosts a number of open competitions throughout the year for all to enjoy.

The club is well situated to receive visitors from much of Ireland as well as the nearby  United Kingdom as Dublin Airport is only twenty minutes away by car and offers a number of domestic and international flights. Accommodation options near to the site are moderate and there is sure to be something to suit all in the local area.
