On one of the Eastern fringes of mainland Ireland to the North of the capital Dublin is the golf course at Rush Golf Club. From the course, some excellent views of the nearby Dublin Bay and Lambay Island can be seen which really are a treat for the eyes of all golfers who visit here. The course is found to the south of the quaint, coastal town of Rush which has a number of historical features and attractions which are sure to be enjoyed by all.

The club was founded in 1943 and the course here is of a typical links style which is synonymous with Ireland and nearby Scotland. Located beautifully, the course here will appeal to golfers both old and new and will provide enough of a challenge for all.

Consisting of 9 holes, this traditional Irish links course measures 2670 metres from the yellow tees and has a par of 35. Features here include naturally contoured greens and terrain as well as some tricky bunkers. Combine this with the circumstances and conditions which define links courses and players here are in for a golfing treat.

The facilities at the club are good and are housed in the modern, well-equipped clubhouse which was constructed in 2002. This installation features both a bar and restaurant which serve a variety of refreshments for players to enjoy after their rounds. Said bar and restaurant also offer some fantastic views over the 1st and 9th greens which players can enjoy in comfort.

Tee times for visitors to this course have good general availability on all days except Wednesdays which is reserved for other uses. Weekend availability is somewhat more restricted and general availability changes depending on the season. Green fee rates for this course are reasonable and reflect fair value for money. The club also hosts a number of open competitions throughout the year which can be enjoyed by members and visitors alike.

Getting to the club from much of the rest of Ireland is relatively straightforward thanks to its proximity with Dublin. Accommodation options in and around the local area as well as in Dublin, which is less than half an hour away by car, are numerous and there should be something to suit all tastes and budgets.
