Rathcore Golf and Country Club can be found around 45 minutes away from Dublin, just 4 miles outside of Enfield in Rathcore, County Meath,  Ireland.

This parkland style golf course was designed by Mel Flanagan of Irish Golf Design, and was funded by Mick and Austin Lyons for the club which was founded in 2004. The greens were shaped by Ollie Sutton, who has worked on some of the most impressive courses Ireland has to offer.

The course is impressively fashioned over 6530m and consists of 18 stimulating holes with a par of 72. It is made up of entirely natural materials allowing it to sit perfectly in its surroundings, which include natural springs, two ring and one motte forts.

Green fees remain low throughout the year, and the club also has changing rooms with lockers and shower facilities. The onsite pro shop has an extensive range to cater to all your needs, and clubs, buggies, carts and caddies are available to hire.

    Cracking course

Cracking course that I have visited many a time. Keeps drawing me back. Greens are always in good condition no matter when I’ve visited in the past. Deceiving the first time you play it but still a delight don’t be fooled by how flat it looks at first glance. Sometimes I think the use of water is excessive but apart from that I can’t find a major fault. Will definitely be returning again in the near future and would recommend to those who love the sport as much as I do. Especially if you’re based nearby it would be a crime not to visit Rathcore.
