Massereene Golf Club and its associated golf course can be found in the east of Northern Ireland within County Antrim. The club is perched overlooking the tranquil and stunning Lough Neagh and offers some fantastic views over the nearby picturesque countryside. Although it may at first seem secluded and hard to reach it is in fact well connected to much of the rest of  the country and the local town of Randalstown has good general amenities. Belfast International Airport is also only a short distance away.

The club here has a long and rich history spanning a great number of decades. Established in 1895, it is one of the oldest in the local area and is a popular choice with both members and visitors. Over its lifetime the course has obviously seen a great number of changes however one of the most prolific designers to have worked on it is perhaps Fred Hawtree who has worked extensively on courses throughout the United Kingdom

Of a parkland style, the course is made up of 18 holes and measures just under 6040 metres from the white tees with a par of 72. This is a course that will demand accuracy from all players thanks to the narrow fairways and tight greens. There is also a good presence of mature trees and water here and players are sure to find this a formidable test of golf that will demand not only a clear strategy but also respect.

Facilities here are very good and all visitors are sure to enjoy their time here. There is a snug bar and lounge area as well as a lovely restaurant serving a great selection of meals. There are also a number of function rooms that are available to hire for parties and events. Furthermore the club is also home to a modest pro shop and the club’s resident professional will be on hand to offer advice and assistance on purchases.

Green fee rates for visitors here are reasonable and reflect the nature of the course and facilities. It is significantly cheaper if visitors play with a member. Tee time availability is moderate and there is sure to be a time to suit all if arranged in advance.

As mentioned previously the club is relatively well connected to much of the rest of the country as well as nearby Ireland. There are a number of accommodation providers in and around the local area which should appeal to the tastes and budgets of most visitors.
