Loch Lomond Golf Club is one of the most highly regarded golf courses in  Scotland and is considered to be among the Top 100 golf courses in the world and is ranked as the best inland course in Great Britain and Ireland. According to Colin Montgomerie, “wherever Loch Lomond is ranked, it should be higher.” Loch Lomond was home to the Scottish Open from 2001 until 2010.

The course opened in 1993 and was designed by Tom Weiskopf and Jay Morrish the former of whom regarded Loch Lomond as his lasting memorial to golf.

The Loch Lomond Golf Club is located on the banks of the lake of the same name, surrounded by ancient, majestic trees and is situated just 25 minutes away from Glasgow. Lomond is found sandwiched between the historic lochside and the mountains. The golf course contains two Sites of Special Scientific Interest which protect rare plants and animals and one of only two golf courses in Europe to be awarded full Audubon status.

The Loch Lomond course is a beautiful parkland golf course with a par of 71, spread over 6492m. Streams and marshland area provide natural challenges for the course, through breath-taking Scottish foliage creating a course with a true challenge which requires skill on the tee, on the fairway and on the green.

Loch Lomond Golf Club is exclusive and access to the clubhouse and golf course are only for members. It is an international club with members from over thirty countries across the world and often extends invitation to foreign clubs. It is a sanctuary for golf aficionados and world thinkers.

Lomond’s clubhouse is an extraordinary Georgian manor house constructed in 1773 and is situated on the banks of Loch Lomond. It is a historical and hospitable home to the strong companionship of its members. The Clubhouse also boasts a world class spa.

The weather around the Loch Lomond area is known to be unpredictable, and could very well be dry on one side of the lake and raining on the other, however the truly spectacular scenery provides ample distraction.

    Magical

I have been lucky to Play at Loch Lomond twice - five years ago and then again this year and it remains my favourite course of all time. Better than Old Head and Turnberry IMO. Although it is fairly new, some of the old buildings make it seem very old and historic. The clubhouse itself goes bak to before 1800. On the two occasions that I have played it has rained heavily before and was still in perfect condition, greens that rolled so easily. Amaxzing

After hearing so many good things for this course, simply had to play here. It is without a doubt the best golf experience I've ever had in my life thanks to the views of the huge Lake and mountains along with the perfect greens. It is long and hard, and although I suffered in some holes, I loved the challenge.

    What a course!

I went to play at Lock Lomond with my wife for some golf and the club certainly didn't disappoint. Although it is considered an elite course, it is very welcoming and I have experienced that throughout all aspects of the club. The course is simply stunning and it contains some of the best views you are likely to see with the Scottish Highlands being the backdrop to your game. The club's facilities are just incredible, with the spa being greatly appreciated after a long but fantastic day of golf! From the fairways to the food, this club is kept at the highest standards and I can't wait to go back.

What a fantastic course and facilities! If you get a chance to play here - take it! Also, this course together with Valderrama (Spain) is the only other European Golf Club to be awarded full Audubon status!!
