Lahinch Golf Club lays claim to two wonderful links golf courses, the first and most impressive of which is the Old Course. The club is based in Lahinch in County Clare, found to the west of Ireland, approximately an hour away from Limerick.

The Old Course was originally designed by Old Tom Morris, but has had several adjustments made over the years by various golf course architects such as Dr. Alister Mackenzie and Martin Hawtree to bring out the best of the exquisite landscape surrounding the course.

Unlike its smaller counterpart, the Castle Course, the Old Course lies directly on the seafront, providing spectacular views from many of the holes. This course provides a greater challenge than the Castle Course, with a more undulating terrain, obstacles and even some blind shots.

Green Fees on the Old Course are naturally greater than the Castle Course, however booking discounts are available for groups or a second round. Caddies, pull carts and battery powered trolleys are available to rent from the club, providing prior notice is given.

The clubhouse is home to both a wonderful restaurant and a well-stocked pro shop, where you can find everything you might need for your game at Lahinch.

As the course is located right on the western coast of Ireland, the weather at Lahinch is usually stronger than in other parts of the country, however this just adds to the challenge of the course and does not normally prevent gameplay.

Aside from golf, Lahinch is the perfect place for those who love walking, with various places of interest near to the course, as well as sailing and other water sports on offer during the high season, meaning Lahinch really does have something for everybody.

We have several packages available with this course, which you can find by clicking here. Otherwise you can take a look at what other people have to say about this course in the reviews section or look for hotels near to this club on the left hand side of this page.

Simply awesome - from small cute holes to absolutely brutal holes where, with the wind, even a Pro can be happy with a Bogey. The par 5 with the sand dune is wonderful and I any golf pilgrimage is not complete withour a visit to this great course

Played Lahinch Old for the first time last October. Have played many links course in GB & Ireland (including Muirfield, St Andrews Old, Royal Dornoch, Moray, Cruden Bay, Machrihanish, Hillside, S&A, Royal Cinque Ports, St Enodoc, Royal Portrush-Dunluce, Portmarnock, Co. Sligo, Ballyliffin & Baltray) and Lahinch has gone to the top of my list. Just love playing in the dunes with several blind holes & great views although admittedly it's probably too challenging for me.
