La Cala Resort - Campo Europa is one of three top golf courses offered at the La Cala Resort, located in the region of  Andalusia in southern  Spain.

The golf resort is found on the magnificent  Costa del Sol, an area renowned for its great weather and abundance of the most famous golf courses.

The climate is ideal for golf with sunshine during most of the year and barely any rain. Winter months prove to be just as popular, and although slightly cooler they still offer a more than adequate enviroment to play golf.

The golf club is part of La Cala Resort that includes three golf courses, a hotel, a spa, restaurants, sports facilities and an extensive golf academy.

The spa provides a superb indoor and outdoor hydrotherapy pool and a Thermal Suite.

It is an experience that offers a delightful way to relax and energize in any of the exercise pools, herbal steam room, sauna, igloo, foot baths, tepidarium and much more.

While playing you can enjoy spectacular views over the landscape, mountains, Mediterranean Sea and even the African coast during clear days.

The world famous Cabell B. Robinson designed the three golf courses at La Cala, named the America, Asia and Europa courses.

He is an American golf course architect with a history of designs together with the legendary Robert Trent Jones Jr.

Robinson designed all three golf courses at La Cala and he is often praised for his creativity and innovation that combine into spectacular golf courses.

He is the mastermind behind many prominent courses in Spain such as La Reserva de Sotogrande, Santana Golf & Country Club and Valle Romano.

La Cala Resort - Campo Europa contains:

  • A fantastic 18-hole course
  • A par of 71
  • A distance of 6,014 metres.

It is a generally wide course with generous fairways and not much change in altitude during the round.

The Ójen River flows through the course and several bridges and tunnels are created to ease the transport.

The 11th, with a length of 524 metres, is definitely one of the toughest holes with many bunkers ready to pick up any wayward shot.

There was a great desire to preserve the natural environment when building the course and there are more than 4,500 native trees and brushes.

The golf academy of the club features a 6-hole short course for beginners and seasoned golfers that are looking to improve on their golf style.

La Cala Resort can offer golf direct lessons to all level of golfers and help them improve their technique.

A driving range with grass, a putting area, a chipping green and a practice bunker are also available for practicing or just warming up before your round.
