The golf course at Kilrush Golf Club can be found near to the western coast of Ireland within County Clare. Found in a relatively secluded spot, the club here lies just outside of the beautiful coastal town of the same name which has all the basic amenities which visitors should need. With regards to larger towns and cities, the bustling Limerick is around an hour to the east of the site by car and has plenty to offer to visitors of all ages.

The club here was founded back in 1934 and has a rich and interesting history. Over the duration of its life the course here has seen many changes however a brand new, completely redeveloped course designed by the renowned Dr Arthur Spring was opened for play back in 1994.

Of a parkland style, this eighteen hole course has a par of 70 and measures some 5245 metres from the yellow tees. Features here have been cleverly incorporated to use the natural surroundings and there are plenty of trees as well as water and sand to provide hazards. This is a very scenic course and the views that can be had from a number of the holes here really add to the experience here.

Facilities at the club are fair and there is a welcoming bar and restaurant area for players to enjoy after their rounds. Said area is also available to hire for a number of functions making this a popular location with visitors and locals alike.

Green fee rates for this course are very reasonable and all are sure to enjoy a great value for money experience here making it ideal for those who would otherwise not be able to play. Tee time availability is generally good and there should be a time to suit all if booked far enough in advance. Obviously, weekend availability is somewhat restricted however if booked far enough in advance disappointment can be avoided.

Road links to the club are relatively good however journeys from some parts of Ireland may take some time as it is secluded. Accommodation options in and around the local area are fair and there should be something to suit most tastes and budgets.
