Glenmalure Golf Club and its golf course can be found in the beautiful county of Wicklow in the east of Ireland. Located near to the Wicklow Mountains National Park, the views that can be had from this course are second to none. Both the Glenmalure Valley and Lugnaquilla Mountain can be seen from numerous vantage points across the course. The capital city of Dublin is around an hour to the north of the site by car meaning that transport links from a number of further locations are strong.

The club was founded in 1993 and over the years has become a popular golfing installation in the local area with members and visitors alike.  Little is known about the designer of the course however it is clear that Mother Nature played perhaps the largest role in the creation of this course.

Made up of 18 holes the course here is of a moorland style and measures 4897 metres from the white tees with a par of 71. There is a double green here as well as many natural hazards, traditional stone walls and ditches to provide players with a varied and interesting game. The course boasts three par 3’s and two par 5’s and is an enjoyable but fair challenge for golfers of all standards.

The clubhouse is home to a well-stocked bar and serves a variety of food daily for players to enjoy after their rounds. There are also changing facilities on site and golf tuition is available on request, as is trolley and buggy hire. Practice facilities here include a putting green upon which players can refine their skills.

Visitors are warmly welcomed here and tee time availability is generally good, especially if peak times are avoided. Green fee rates are very reasonable to play here also, although they change depending upon the day of the week and the time of the season.

The club is well connected by road to much of the east of Ireland and links from nearby Dublin are strong to nearby countries such as Northern Ireland, England and Scotland. With regards to accommodation the club has a number of Scandinavian log cabins on site that can be hired by visitors, within 100 metres of the clubhouse the cabins are finished to the highest of standards and are sure to suit most tastes.

Little-known but that deserves to be enjoyable, interesting, quiet, a bit hilly course. No practice as often in Ireland but a putting green
