Located to the North of the capital Dublin the golf course at Forrest Little Golf Club can be found towards the East of Ireland. The local area is home to a number of other golf courses including those at the Malahide, Portmarnock and Hollystown Golf Clubs. Just south of one of the principal suburbs of the capital, Swords, the course is located near to the airport in the city making it accessible from a variety of locations both nationally and internationally. 

The course here was created in 1940 and the credited designer is a certain Fred Hawtree, a name synonymous with excellent design. Hawtree as well as his ancestors and relatives are huge players in the game of golf course design and are some of the most prolific in both Ireland and the world and the Hawtree skill and style has been used here with aplomb. 

Measuring 5900 metres from the blue tees this course offers a par of 71. Its parkland style comprises of 18 holes and is a refreshing course for many with just the right amount of a challenge. Bunkers and water hazards are used perfectly here to create a good balance of enjoyment with toughness meaning that the course can be played by golfers of varying strengths. 

The facilities at Forrest Little are fair and include a large bar and dining area offering a selection of refreshments which players can enjoy. The club also has a resident professional offering lessons and tuition to all types of golfers. Also there is a pro-shop stocked with a wide array of international brands and the staff here can carry out a number of club repairs. 

Tee times for visitors to this course are somewhat restricted and vary with the season. Weekend availability is very restricted and a number of weekdays have limited availability also. However if booked far enough in advance there should be a suitable time for all. Green fee rates here are very reasonable when you consider the location and the competition within the local area. The course also plays host to a number of open competitions throughout the course of the year which can be enjoyed by all.

Owing to its good location just outside of Dublin the course and club have good transport connections to the rest of Ireland as well as further afield. With regards to accommodation there is an abundance of hotels of varying ratings near to the course which will appeal to all tastes and budgets.
