Falsterbo Golfklubb - 18-hålsbanan is one of the top golf courses situated in Fyrvägen, at the Southernmost tip of  Sweden where the Öresund and the Baltic meet.

Situated along the sea, the club was inaugurated shortly after the construction of the railroad to Fasterbo in 1904 and the hotel, named Falserbohus, was finished in 1908. This had major influences on the formation of Falsterbo Golfklubb - 18-hålsbanan in 1909. Now, it is the third oldest golf club in Sweden.

Due to the establishment of quality infrastructure and accommodation, many British professionals decided to come to play and coach on the 9-hole course.

In 1930 the 18-hole course opened and one year later the Swedish International Championships organised a game on the track. In the following years, many international tournaments were hosted on the golf course such as the men's European Championship in 1963. The golf king Arnold Palmer played here in 1968 in front of over 5000 spectators.

During 1995 and 2001, the greens were renovated in order to provide the highest quality course which could continue to organise international tournaments, despite its limited spectator capacity. The renovations were made by the two worldwide golf architect Peter Nordwall and Peter Chamberlain.

The club offers a scholarship of up to 5000 euros for outstanding players or groups in order to develop and improve their techniques such as their golf swings and strategy. The objectives are to enhance the club’s long-term development and to preserve the tradition of the sport.

One of the top golf courses in the region, Falsterbo Golfklubb - 18-hålsbanan includes:

  • 18 breath-taking holes
  • A par of 72
  • A length of 5810 metres from the yellow tees.

The location of the course is exceptional, laid out in a natural reserve with a hilly, sandy type of terrain. Golfers feel like they are the only person in the world while playing on this track due to its isolated and peaceful environment.

You encounter many small lakes throughout the course, as well as various hazards like bunkers which are cleverly placed alongside the greens. One of the biggest difficulties is the wind - due to the course's seaside location, the wind will definitely affect your golf shots. In addition, the greens are flat and this helps to balance the toughness of the course.

There is a golf pro shop where the famous David Leet, who succeeded Peter Chamberlain as head Pro in 1990, can customize golf clubs that will suit you. He is considered the best in Sweden at Custom Fitting. Moreover, he gives golfing tips to anyone who wishes to improve their golf style and technique.

Additionally, clubs, trollies and buggies can be rented from the golf store.
