Located towards the West of Ireland in County Clare is the Ennis Golf Club and its golf course. The course and club are set in some excellent surroundings and the local area is home to a number of Natural Heritage sites including the Lough Acrow Bogs and Oysterman’s Marsh.

Founded in 1907, the club has a long and interesting history and has seen many developments and extensions take place across the years which has led to the course becoming a well maintained and enjoyable course that is suitable to play on by golfers of most levels.

Consisting of 18 holes, this parkland style course has a par of 70 and measures just short of 5500 metres from the yellow tees. Expect tree lined fairways here and beautifully manicured tight greens. Undulating greens and intelligently placed bunkers also combine here to make an interesting and enjoyable course which isn’t without its fair share of a challenge.

Facilities at this club are good and players here are sure to find everything that they could need. There is a well-appointed bar and restaurant area offering an array of refreshments for players to enjoy after their rounds. Furthermore there are large and modern changing and shower facilities as well as lockers and a professional golf shop stocking a vast array of merchandise and apparel as well as a number of hire items.

Ennis Golf Club has a sizeable member presence however visitors are also warmly welcomed here. Tee time availability is fair and changes somewhat across the course of the seasons. Also green fee rates are reasonable and players here are sure to enjoy a good value for money experience. Advance booking is highly recommended though so as to avoid disappointment and it should be noted that tee time availability and green fees change somewhat with the seasons.

Generally, the club and course are fairly well connected to some of the nearby major towns and cities by road and the major hub of Limerick is less than 40km southeast of the site and from there further links are even stronger to much of the rest of Ireland as well as further afield. With regards to accommodation there are a number of providers in the local area which should be more than able to meet the needs of visitors here.
