You will find the Elm Park Golf and Sports Club and its associated golf course in the east of Ireland just outside of the bustling city centre of the capital, Dublin. The location of the club is perfect as both the vibrant metropolitan hub as well as the contrasting, serene countryside are found only a short distance away. Not only is the complex here home to some excellent golf installations but there are also facilities for tennis as well which further adds to its appeal.

The foundations of golf on the site date back to 1925 when the first course was laid out, the tennis courts were added a few years later and as they say, the rest is history. Obviously throughout the years the course has seen a number of upgrades and changes by a number of designers. One said designer is Patrick Merrigan who has worked on a number of courses across the whole of Ireland.

Elm Park is home to a parkland style course that is made up of 18 holes. Measuring 5253 metres from the white tees this course has a par of 69. Features here are as to be expected for a course of this style and have a very traditional feel.  Greens here are well maintained and the feature combine to make an interesting course for all which is sure to be an enjoyable challenge.

As the club is a well-known sporting venue in the local area the facilities are good. There is on site catering provided in the dining room throughout most of the week with a number of menu options including Table d’Hote and A La Carte. There is also a professional golf shop at the club selling a selection of equipment and clothing as well as running a golf club repair service. Golf lessons are also available here and should be arranged through the pro shop in advance.

Green fee rates here reflect the quality of the course, the club and its facilities and are therefore reasonable, all things considered. Tee time availability for visitors is somewhat restricted however there should be a time to suit all when booked far enough in advance.

Access to the club from much of rest of Ireland by road is good and transport links via other means from Dublin are strong. There are plenty of accommodation options in and around the local area for visitors that are sure to suit most tastes and budgets.
