You will find the golf course at Dunmurry Springs Golf Club in the East of Ireland in County Kildare. Situated just outside of the town of Kildare the course is surrounded by a number of towns and villages which all boast some excellent attractions, features and history. Kildare itself is credited as the birthplace of Motor Racing on the British Isles as it played a vital role in the first international motorcar race back in 1903. There are also a number of horse racing tracks in the area so this is a great place for those who love all kinds of sports.

Designed by Mel Flanagan and his team the course here was opened in 2005 and sits beside the world famous Curragh racecourse. The design and style here are timeless and visitors could be forgiven for thinking that this course is a lot older than it actually is. Beautiful design and natural features combine here to make this an extraordinary example of golfing architecture.

This course is somewhat of a hidden parkland gem and its 18 holes measure 5345 metres from the yellow tees. It offers a par of 71. Expect something a little different from this course, it is modern by most standards yet draws upon some traditional design features and effortlessly combines the two. Natural springs, strategic and clever bunkering as well as spacious fairways are just some of the features that you will find here, all of which combine to create an enjoyable and, at times, challenging course.

Facilities here are fair and, like the course, are relatively modern. You will find well-appointed locker rooms for use by players as well as an ample bar and restaurant area in which players are sure to receive a warm, Irish welcome as well as some excellent food.

Tee times for visitors to this course have a good general availability and tend to fall in the morning and early afternoons. Weekend tee times are slightly more restricted however there is still a fair availability. Green fee rates to play at Dunmurry Springs are reasonable and offer good value for money, there are a number of discounts available here throughout the year also.

Transport links to the club and course are good as the metropolitan hub that is Dublin is less than an hour away by car and from there road and air links to the rest of the world are good. The club has a number of links with local accommodation providers that offer “stay and play” deals and these should appeal to most tastes and budgets.
