Djouce Golf Club (or Djouce Mountain Golf Club as it is sometimes referred to) and its golf course can be found in County Wicklow in the east of Ireland. The location of the club is stunning and the imposing Djouce Mountain overlooks the course on one side with the tranquil Vartry Lake enveloping the site on the other. Found south of the capital Dublin the course is nestled close to the beautiful Wicklow Mountains National Park which is a must visit for nature lovers in the area.

The club was founded in 1990 which makes it quite modern by Irish standards and since then has matured well into an enjoyable course. The course was designed by the well-known Irish favourite Eddie Hackett who worked extensively on courses throughout Ireland during his long and illustrious career.

This is a nine hole course that is of a parkland style. The flat terrain is ideal for golfers of all ages and abilities and all are sure to enjoy a round or two here. From the white tees the course measures 2942 metres and has a par of 36. Distinct highlights of this course include the 2nd, 5th and 9th holes which are cited by many as the most enjoyable of the course. Expect a number of tricky dog legs and well placed trees combined with relatively flat terrain.

Facilities here are good and there is The Grange Kitchen café and restaurant area offering a large and varied selection of refreshments to all. There are also well appointed locker rooms and changing facilities within the clubhouse and a function room that can be hired out for a number of events. There is also ample car parking space available here and clubs, trollies and buggies are also available to hire.

Visitors are warmly welcomed at Djouce Golf Club and the tee time availability for them is generally good. There should be a time to suit all if arranged well in advance. Green fee rates are very competitive here and this course can provide golfers with a great value for money golfing option.

The club is easily accessed from much of the south of Ireland and transport links from nearby Dublin to countries such as England, Scotland and Northern Ireland are plentiful. Accommodation options in and around the local area are fair and there should be something to suit most tastes.
