Situated just outside of the city centre of Dublin in the east of Ireland are the golf courses at the Deer Park golf complex. The complex is home to no less than 3 main courses, the Deer Park, the Grace O’Malley and St Fintans as well as a Par 3 course and a pitch and putt course. It has plenty to offer for visitors from both near and far and the entire complex has stood the test of time, a fact which is further highlighted by the sad closure of the hotel which was on the site yet the courses still remain and remain so fantastically.

The Grace O’Malley course here is a popular choice with many visitors and like the rest of its contemporary courses it was opened in 1973. All of the courses here were designed by the renowned Fred Hawtree and his company meaning that the quality of all the courses here is apparent.

A nine hole course, the Grace O’Malley is of a parkland style and is a demanding little course. It can be played as either just the nine holes or doubled up to the full 18. It measures just over 2860 metres and has a par of 35. Although not quite as popular as the main Deer Park course the Grace O’Malley still has its own strong following and players are sure to have an enjoyable round here.

Facilities at the site are good and there is much here for golfers who wish to up their game. The Par 3 course and the pitch and putt can provide visitors with more entertainment and there are a number of items available to hire. With regards to clubhouse facilities, the bar which formed part of the hotel is used as the clubhouse and all players are sure to receive a warm Irish welcome.

Tee time availability for this course is very good and visitors should have no problem in finding a suitable time to play. Green fee rates are also very reasonable and offer good value for money for those who want an enjoyable round of golf without breaking the bank.

Getting to the course from much of the rest of Ireland as well as the nearby United Kingdom as well as further afield is easy as nearby Dublin has strong transport links. With regards to accommodation options, there are plenty of providers in and around the local area which should appeal to most tastes.

Love this course. Very wide fairways and big greens making it an ideal course for those starting out. Fantastic Views of Howth and the seas beyond from the course. Beautiful mature parkland course kept in very good condition.
