Crossgar Golf Club is a commendable golf club nestled in between the towns of Saintfield and Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland.

Founded in 1993 this 9 hole, par 64, course consists off:

Tight fairways, with taxing challenges that are bound to make the round an enjoyable one

Greens that stretch a distance of 3780m all lined with a grand variety of trees, set against the backdrop of the northern Irish countryside.

The course features water features (notably at the 8th hole) that add an interesting twist to the game, demanding just that little bit extra from every golfer. And you will be in great company on the course, as well as the friendly members, the course is home to a great deal of wildlife.

After a thrilling round of golf, Crossgar Golf Club has a lounge and TV area with tea and coffee facilities. Brilliant for when you want to unwind a little. The clubhouse is also equipped with a shop bursting with light snacks and cold refreshments, in addition to basic golfing paraphernalia. If you really enjoy your visit to the club there is a great range of polos and hoodies embossed with the club’s logo available to purchase. A perfect souvenir of the club.

The area in which Crossgar Golf Club is located lends itself perfectly to a golfing break. Within mere miles are a great number of hotels suitable for a grand range of different needs. And when you’re not the on course there’s plenty to do. County Antrim is full of natural beauty, it would be extremely easy to spend a day exploring all the nooks and crannies the county has to offer without even realising it! For those of you who aren’t really ‘outdoorsy’ you’ll have no problem passing your time here.  There are museums full of local history and artefacts right on your doorstep, boutique shopping, farmers markets selling the highest artisan products and weather permitting, the coast is just a short hop away.

One of the best golf courses in the area yet relatively unknown, this club really is a hidden gem. After a round of golf here you will feel like you have been let into one of Northern Ireland’s biggest secrets and you won’t regret choosing to visit the club.
