Situated towards the east of central Ireland is the Cill Dara Golf Club and its associated golf course. Found within County Kildare the course lies to the northeast of the county town of Kildare itself. Other major local towns include Portarlington, Athy and Naas which can all be found relatively close by. The capital Dublin is just over 50 kilometres away from the site also meaning that visitors from both near and far should have no trouble in accessing the club and its course.

The club was founded in 1920 and since its inauguration has blossomed to become a much loved club with both locals and visitors. Since its construction the course here has seen a number of upgrades and modifications but is a pleasure to play and all credit to the designer who remains undisclosed.

Of a parkland style, the course here consists of nine holes which measure 2860 metres from the blue tees for gentlemen and 2526 metres from the red tees for the ladies. The par of the course  is 35 and 36 respectively. The course makes the most of the surroundings and uses natural terrain, greens here are well kept and can be very quick. The course is an enjoyable challenge for all and one that should suit golfers of varying levels.

Facilities at the club are found within the modern and comfortable clubhouse. There is a spacious restaurant area and bar which players can enjoy and all are sure to receive a great Irish welcome here.

Green fee rates here for visitors are very reasonably priced and offer exceptional value for money when you consider the area in which the club is located. Tee time availability is fair although at peak times it is more restricted for visitors as members have priority. Both green fee rates and tee time availability are subject to change with the seasons.

The club is well connected to much of the rest of Ireland by road. Its proximity to Dublin also means that visitors from the nearby United Kingdom as well as further afield will have no difficulty in getting to the area. Accommodation options nearby are fair and there is sure to be something to appeal to all tastes and budgets.
