Nestled at the feet of the Dublin Mountains in the East of Ireland is the golf course at the Ballinascorney Golf Club. Situated on the outskirts of Dublin, this course is ideal for those living and working in the city and those visiting the local area as it is the perfect distance away from the bustling metropolitan hub that is the capital. That said, the views and surroundings of this course are excellent and players are sure to appreciate the imposing beauty of the local area.

The club here was founded in 1971 and the original nine holes were laid out at a different site where they remained for some thirty years. It was not until 2001 that the course and club moved to their current site where they have remained and matured well ever since.

This is a nine hole layout which is of a parkland style and it has a par of 36 and measures just short of  2730 metres. Features of this course include a number of water hazards, some of which are natural and a strong presence of mature trees add a good amount of challenge here. This is a course which can be enjoyed by golfers of varying ability and players are sure to find this entertaining.

Facilities at the club are good and modern and include well-appointed locker and changing rooms as well as a welcoming bar area and catering facilities for players to enjoy after their rounds. Tee time availability for visitors to this course is generally good and there should be a time to suit all if booked outside of peak times such as the weekend. Green fee rates for visitors are very reasonable and offer good value for money.

The club is easy to access from much of the rest of Ireland as well as the nearby United Kingdom as the capital Dublin is only 20 minutes to the north of the site by car. There are a number of accommodation options in and around the local area which should appeal to most tastes and budgets.

This course was designed a beautiful course with nine holes, through watty Sullivan and danny obrien in the 1970s. the course was laid along the contours of the hills, and fairways are narrow, but fair.
