Añoreta Golf is situated on the southern coast of Spain on the Costa del Sol, and has one of the top golf courses in the area. The location provides perfect golf weather because of the subtropical climate. The golf course is in the town of Rincón de la Victoria east of Málaga. It is a pleasant town with white colored town buildings and beautiful flora that decorates the town.
It is recommended to visit the town to see authentic Mediterranean culture and the local food which includes mangoes, avocadoes and fried fish. There is much to be discovered in the proximity including the Picasso museum in Málaga and the cave of Nerja.
Jose Maria Canizares designed the course and he was the first in the Axerquia district to found a golf course, which to date continues to be one of the famous golf courses in the area. Canizares was a Ryder Cup champion in 1985 and he won the World Cup team event for Spain twice. He was known for being a consistent performer with incredible skill on the golf course and he has transferred these skills perfectly into the designing side of golf.
Añoreta Golf is an 18-hole par 72 course that is approximately 5,980 metres long.
The course definitely has a natural beauty. The rolling fairways paired with the ample sized greens require a certain amount of skill but the course is suitable for both beginners and advanced players. Every hole varies in both length and layout which makes the use of every club in the bag an extremely possible occurrence!
A signature hole is the par 3, 17th; surrounded by water requiring skill to land on the green. The course takes in the whole Mediterranean climate and spirit throughout and the club house looks like a traditional Andalusian farmhouse that helps bring the whole picture together.
Upon completion of the front nine, there is normally a snack bar open to supply refreshments to tired golfers.
To accompany the fantastic course, you will find a wide range of great amenities such as:
- A conference room
- Locker rooms
- Pro shop
- Golf tuition
- Rental services

challenging14/10/2013this review is the subjective opinion of a GOLFBOO user and not of GOLFBOO S.LPlayed yesterday (13/10/2013) and it was great fun. The course was very challenging with holes that were all different from each other. Many par 5's with approx. 500 metres makes is a long course to walk however the buggy paths were horrible. The course was great and in good condition, I enjoyed it. It is very punishing if you don't hit straight though since the course is quite narrow with houses and streets on the side of the course. There was some beautiful views of the ocean and nearby mountains. The caddy master was very unhelpful though and seemed annoyed at my presence, he did not even know what a driving range was. There is a bar after the 10th hole were you can take a break. Normally its after the 9th so I was a bit confused before I found it. Overall a great course and the greenfee was cheap but bad service.

Technical challenges11/06/2013this review is the subjective opinion of a GOLFBOO user and not of GOLFBOO S.LAñoreta is an a field that allows you to play for fun whenever you assume its technical challenges. A first part of the steeper route and the second practically flat allowing the game of long shots.
