Aloha Golf is located in the heart of the famous Golf Valley in Costa del Sol. It is one of the most richly concentrated areas of top quality golf courses in the whole of Europe.

Aloha has been established here since 1975 and is definitely well known for being a course for both professional and amateurs who desires an authentic golf experience with one of the most long-established clubs on Costa del Sol.

The course, one of the top golf courses in the area, was built in 1975; the famous designer Javier Arana tragically died just before finishing the project, meaning Enrique Canales was handed the task of completing it.

The opening occurred on 25th of October with the President of the Royal Andalusian Golf Federation hitting the first official ball on the course, and since then, the course has remained one of the famous golf courses known.

Mr Canales also designed a par 3 course that is truly excellent.

As Aloha Golf has matured and  grown into a well renowned golf club it also has had the pleasure of providing golf for several famous personalities such as Prince Edward of England, the King of Malaysia and Sean Connery.

The course has been a successful host for many well-known tournaments including the Spanish Amateurs Championship in 1978 and the Andalucian Open in 2007.

The Aloha Golf is an 18-hole par 72 course measuring up to 6,010 metres long. It is definitely a lengthy course that requires a golfer of high skill. The terrain can be narrow or wide, hilly or flat and with many blind approaches it is a good idea to study the map before playing.

Each hole has its own name like the first “Tu Tranquilo” (Take it easy) or the ninth “El Jorobado” (The hunchback).

Fast wavy greens will force you to concentrate on every putt and with a high number of hazards dispersed in clever places this course requires a seasoned golfer.
The fauna and design is reminiscent of Javier Arana and his generous amount of trees and plants gives the course a feeling of true nature.

The course excels in quality and is meticulously maintained all year round.

The famous marina Puerto Banus  is just a 5 minute drive away and with the location of the course there are many golf clubs in the proximity that are worth checking out.

The closest airport can be found in Malaga and is approximately one hour away.

There are several good hotels nearby including Señorio de Aloha and Melia Marbella Banus.

The club house of Aloha Golf is not your average club house; the entrance instantly oozes class and elegance.

When you enter there is a warm ambiance that is almost like home to many members. With gigantic dressing rooms, sauna and relax rooms there is nothing else to be wished for. There is even a swimming pool to be enjoyed.

Aloha Golf also offers group or personal lessons and for the children there is a junior school at weekends. The school includes advanced swing analysis technology with course professionals such as:

  • Andrés Jiménez
  • José Luis Mangas
  • Juanjo Mangas
  • Iván Mangas.

The club is however for members only. There are possibilities for non-members to play during tournaments or sometimes when the club opens tee times for the public.
